Friday Evening:

Birth and Death. Incarnation and Disincarnation. Acceptance of the reincarnation cycle varies dependent upon culture. But there are deep and powerful truths to learn from what we already know, and it might not lead where we think. We will explore and link such diverse topics as: ~The role of Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in the reincarnation cycle. ~The Tibetan Book of the Dead, Psychedelic (Entheogenic) substances and the plight of PhDs Tim Leary, Ram Dass, and Ralph Metzner. ~The Bardos. ~Dr. Freud, Hypnosis and Past Life Regression. ~Chronocentric thinking. ~Putting all this into our astrological practice.

Saturday Morning:

Albert Einstein once said, “I want to know God’s thoughts; the rest are details.” How do cosmology, science and spirituality weave a magic carpet tapestry that supports astrology? What is life? Is our fate written in stone in our horoscopes? Does free will exist? What is the relationship between the cosmos and the individual? What survives death? How can we better understand our place in the Universe? What does astrology say about these unstable times? These are big questions… and not the answers you expect.

Quantum theory turned 20th century science inside out yet its impact on the practice of astrology is little known. A new model of astrology based on quantum mechanics is putting astrology back in the forefront of cosmology. Explore the fundamentals of this new way of conceptualizing and working with astrology. Learn the basic concepts of Quantum Physics and their direct implications on the practice of astrology and our understanding of fate and free will.

Saturday Afternoon:

Whether you’re doing readings for fun or money, whether you’re doing 15-minute or 90-minute sessions, the approach is the same. Einstein wrote, “99% of genius is knowing what’s important.” You have plenty of techniques in your toolbox yet seek something more in your client work. This practical hands-on session will improve your chart consultation skills by presenting useful concepts designed to alter your approach and enable you to more profoundly touch your clients. But concepts only go so far. This workshop will focus on where the rubber meets the road. We will gather birth data from participants. Randomly selected charts of attendees will be analyzed in real time by Rick to demonstrate natal delineation and transit interpretation techniques. Participant’s charts will be projected real time for all attendees to learn from each other’s charts. Emphasis will be on getting to what’s most important quickly, enabling attendees to speed-read a natal chart along with outer planet transits.

Sunday Morning:

Ram Dass has called relationships, “The Yoga of the West.” Traditionally, Venus and Mars are associated with romantic love, but the complexity of human interactions cannot adequately be described by two planets. Of particular interest is the current profound shift in relationship dynamics, fueled by gender fluidity and the quest of gender equality. This workshop will explore the idea of love, its influence on individual transformation, and the mechanics of interpersonal interaction. We will explore the various tools in the astrologer’s toolbox that elucidate the successes and failures of relationships. We will look at natal charts, synastry charts, composite charts, and time-space midpoint charts. We will use example horoscopes from known personalities plus real-time examples from class participants.

A Pocketful of Planets: Personalizing the Planets to Positively Impact Our Daily Lives

Each planet is like a special agent with special skills. With a little practice, we can learn how to call forth the right planet at the right time to help you through tricky situations. The astrological planets are like imaginary superheroes who are ready to jump into real situations on our behalf. It might seem like magic, but the planets in our pocket become powerful secret weapons once we take the time to learn their secrets.
