This presentation will give the basics of palm reading while connecting these to the same concepts in astrology. A basic palm handout will be available at the class to record the information. You may also want to bring a paper copy of a photograph of your own palms, left and right, as you will be working with these throughout the day. There will also be exercises where you can work with a partner to practice reading the palms.

At the age of 10 Barbara was introduced to palm reading by a colleague of her father. She was told that she had been a Nautch girl (temple dancer) in a past life. Later the man sent her a book on palmistry which she found intriguing and read voraciously. When researching Nautch girls she found that they were similar to Geisha in spiritual and dance training. As travelling people they conveyed it to other countries by then including palmistry. Part of her fascination with palm reading is the study of the history as well as Vedic aspects of the practice although she has practiced for many years using her own techniques.
