In this lecture, Jennifer will present her thesis research on incorporating astrology into a holistic psychotherapy practice.
Since the turn of the 20th Century, astrologers have increasingly incorporated psychological concepts, theory and language into their work. Although there is a very rich documented history of psychological astrology, it is much less common that psychotherapists use astrology in their work in a public and visible manner. This presentation will outline the history of the coupling of these two disciplines, highlighting various commonly practiced modalities to which astrology can be applied, to arrive at a holistic approach which adheres to regulations as outlined by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
This presentation will also feature some experiential components, including journaling prompts and guided meditations. Please bring a journal and pen if you would like to participate.
