Back in the 1990s I became fascinated with astrology. I found a brilliant teacher who still coaches me today. I was encouraged to broaden my experience by reading, doing charts and joining a book club that was held at Barbara Rodrigoe’s house.
Some of the same people I had met earlier were members of this non-profit and it was another way for me to meet up and become further steeped in the Toronto astrology scene. Over time I took on being treasurer and helped to organize the yearly June Seminar where we invited such presenters as Noel Tyl (may he rest in peace), Deborah Houlding, Lynn Bell, J. Lee Lehman, Michael Lutin and Chris Brennan, to name a few. There was always an enthusiastic crew of volunteers from the board that helped make these events so successful.
It has been a wonderful way to test my astrological wings and find a small corner of like-mindedness in an increasingly fragmented world. I hope ATI can be that for many others.
