Vedic astrology employs the vimshottari dasha system as the main predictive tool to shed light on the dominant themes, trends and karmas that arise during different periods of the human life cycle. Each planet in the birth chart carries with it a karmic promise which will come to fruition during the time that it runs as the Mahadasha (main) or Bhukti (secondary) planet. The planets have a fixed sequence that they run based on the position of your natal moon's nakshatra. The results experienced are highly complex and an accurate understanding of the karma is dependent on a holistic synthesis of various factors lending strength and weakness to the planet such as its sign, nakshatra, house, planetary aspects, yogas it participates in, and its positions in the divisional charts among others. Through this workshop, we will learn in greater depth why the planets give the results that they do, and how this manifests in real life via a study of celebrity charts.
